Dime Más Journal · Spanish
Write it. Then say it aloud.
Write a little, most days. The journal gives you a question, the words to answer it and a reason to say it out loud, so what you write today is ready for the next conversation.
01
Write
Answer the question on the page. Stuck? Read the idea underneath. The English is at the foot of the page, upside down, if you need it.
02
Keep your words
Use the useful words for the week, at least three if you can. Note up to three new words and add them to the index.
03
Look back
Each page sends you to entries from 1, 2, 4 and 8 weeks ago. Cover the meanings and test yourself, just before you forget.
04
Say it aloud
Answer out loud for a minute without looking at what you wrote. Or draw a card from your Dime Más Cards.
A week in the journal
Twenty weeks, six double pages each, always in the same order. Aim for one a day, but write at your own pace.
- Relaciones: family, friends and the people close to you
- Emociones: what you feel, and why
- Trabajo: work, study and your day to day
- Valores: what matters most to you
- Escritura libre: free writing, on anything you like
- Repaso: the week's words, and a saying to keep
If you miss a day
There are no printed dates. Write the date yourself, and if a day goes by, pick up where you left off. Más vale tarde que nunca: better late than never.
With the cards
The journal works on its own. If you have Dime Más Cards, draw one from the same topic when you speak, and the page becomes a conversation.
Both levels
The Beginner (A1–A2) and Intermediate (B1–B2) journals work the same way. At Intermediate the useful words go a step further, with the subjunctive, the conditional and linking words.Which level am I? →
