Cookies

The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) cover cookies and similar storage on your device. This site does not set advertising cookies, social-media pixels or analytics cookies. Fonts are hosted here (Carlito and Lato), not loaded from Google. There is no cookie banner because we are not asking you to accept optional tracking.

Strictly necessary

Pages are static files on IONOS. The contact, events and waitlist forms send what you type to FormSubmit, which emails info@profluency.co.uk; the newsletter form sends your email to Kit. Neither sets a cookie on this site. We do not start a login session or write our own tracking cookie.

IONOS, or your browser, may still use a strictly necessary cookie so the site or a form post works (for example a load-balancer or security cookie). We do not use those cookies to profile you. If a name appears in your browser settings, it will have come from the host, not from an ads network we installed.

Local storage (not a cookie)

If you close the announcement bar, we store a flag so it stays closed for a week. If you pick a language on the site, we remember that choice. Neither is used to identify you.

On shop pages that show an Amazon price, your browser may keep a short figure in local storage (a key such aspf-amazon-price) so the price can update without hitting Amazon on every click. You can clear site data in your browser to remove it. That storage stays on your device.

Optional and analytics

None at launch. A few buttons in the code look for a Plausible function if one were ever added. No Plausible (or Google Analytics) script is on the page, so nothing is sent. If we add a cookieless analytics option later, this page will say so before it goes live.

The “Buy now” button opens Stripe’s checkout on stripe.com, which uses its own cookies to take payment safely and prevent fraud. Links to Amazon UK and Instagram open those sites. Their cookies are their own, once you are there. We do not drop an Instagram embed that would set Meta cookies on profluency.co.uk.
